We Are So Stoked Here At Stock! Let me tell you why.....

The first weekend in May our little town, Conway, Arkansas, swells by more than 100,000 people for three action-packed days of music, food, toad races, etc. Yes, I said Toad Races! This sudden influx of folks from all different walks of life come together to celebrate Toad Suck Daze. The oddly named festival is the unofficial beginning of springtime festivals in the state of Arkansas and benefits a great wealth of local charities, especially education based in our community. Since 1985 the festival has given some $1.7 million to various scholarships, endowments, and even preschool funding. The super strange name is derived from long ago steamboats that used to dock on the Arkansas River near Conway, Arkansas when it was too low to navigate the channel at certain times of the year. When the captains and their crew weren't moving up and down the river, "They suck on the bottle 'til they swell up like toads." Hence the name, Toad Suck. Well, nowadays there's not so much drinking going on but the festivities of music, food, fair, and community are alive and well! That's why we are so excited. This year we will have a booth set up across from the courts building on Parkway Street. We are so proud to be a part of this lovely town and its exciting future. Please come out and say hello. We hope to see you soon! If I'm not at the booth myself, it may be because I'm at one of the food trucks getting my fix of corndogs, funnel cakes, and lemonade. ;)
